Sivara

Single phase fight, based on a green/blue style debuff system. Most other abilities are based off which you have.

Encounter Ability

  • Chimeric Marks

    • Upon starting the encounter, all players are debuffed with one of two debuffs

    • Frost Mark

      • Debuff with a DoT affect, 1400 Frost damage per second, plus 5% movement speed reduction. This ability stacks.

        • Frozen Blood

          • If a player stands stationary for too long at a time, they freeze into a block of ice for 5 seconds

    • Toxic Brand

      • Debuff with a DoT affect, 6900 Nature damage every 5.2 seconds, and also reduces healing received by 5%. Ability stacks

        • Venomous Blood

          • If a player moves too much, they will become Delirious, disorienting them for 5 seconds

    • Unstable Mixture

      • If a Frost Marked player and a Toxic Branded player come too close, they explode and debuff the entire raid with a DoT, dealing 5700 Nature damage per second for 3 seconds.

Abilities that interact with Debuffs

  • Frostvenom Tipped

    • The boss applies an extra debuff to the tank when hit, based on which Mark they have. These abilities are exactly the same, except for the class of magic they deal.

    • Rimefrost

      • Affects players with Frost Mark.

      • DoT, deals 5500 Frost damage per second for 10s. Stacks.

      • Upon expiring, drops a frost puddle on the ground.

        • Standing in the puddle deals 38k Frost damage and applies stacks of Frost Mark

    • Septic Taint

      • Affects players with Toxic Brand

      • DoT, deals 5500 Nature damage per second for 10s. Stacks.

      • Upon expiring, drops a poison puddle on the ground.

        • Standing in the puddle deals 38k Nature damage and applies stacks of Toxic Brand

  • Overwhelming Barrage

    • Shoots a series of bolts out, some Frost, some Toxic. If you’re hit by a bolt, you take damage. If the bolt is the same debuff as you have, you’ll also gain 1 stack. If the bolt is the OPPOSITE debuff as you, it’ll trigger Unstable Mixture and deal raidwide AoE damage.

    • Dodging these is vital

    • Cast at 0:41, then every 40s after that

  • Overflow

    • Causes one player of each debuff to “Overflow”

    • After 7 seconds, both affected players will explode for 208k damage, split between everyone within 5 yards

      • If someone of the opposite debuff is hit, they’ll trigger Unstable Mixture

      • After exploding, a pool is left on the ground, same as the tank pools

  • Frostshock Bolts

    • Shoots frost and toxic bolts, 1 at a time

    • Impales a random player, dealing 15k/s and applying a stack of the corresponding debuff

      • If you’re hit with a bolt of the opposite debuff than you have, it’ll trigger Unstable Mixture

    • Can be removed by clicking the physical javelin sticking out of affected players

    • The Javelins would bounce 2 times, meaning 3 people affected total - the original, followed by 2 bounces.

    • Ability is cast at about 0:48s into fight, than every minute

  • Inversion

    • Several random players will have their debuffs swapped for the opposite

    • All pools will also swap to the opposite debuff style

    • Affected players are rooted for 4s

      • After 4s, they explode, afflicting anyone within 4 yards with the rooted player’s new debuff

      • As always, if someone is hit by the explosion and has the opposite debuff, it’ll cause an Unstable Mixture

    • Occurs every 1:30

Ability that isn’t affected by debuffs

  • Crushing Reverberation

    • Crushes the target (current tank), dealing 695k physical damage, split between everyone within 5 yards of the target

    • Also knocks back every player

    • Occurs at 0:10, than every roughly 23 seconds

Strategy

  • You want two rough “stack” areas for the ranged players to congregate to, one for each debuff

    • No need to stack tight, but staying relatively close isn’t a bad thing

  • The two tanks should be able to soak every Crushing Reverberation by themselves

    • If you're struggling with this, have 2-3 melee help soak

  • When Frostshock Bolt goes out, someone of the same debuff needs to click off the javelin asap

    • Have assigned clickers from each debuff. Granted, this won’t work perfectly due to RNG, but can certainly help

  • Players affected by Overflow simply need to move away from the raid

    • Possibly have 1 escort with each of the affected players, just to split the explosion damage in half

  • Dodge as many of the Overwhelming Barrage bolts as possible. Being hit by one of your own debuff isn’t a huge deal, but being hit with an opposite bolt triggers Unstable Mixture and deals medium amounts of AoE damage

  • Tanks need to swap periodically based on the debuff. 4-6 stacks seems to be a good timing.

    • The active tank takes 1 stack per 3-4 seconds, meaning if you swapped every time a tank dropped stacks, it’d be 4-5 stacks

    • While you can obviously hold the boss quite a bit higher than that, it makes the Crushing Reverberation more dangerous. 4 stacks on heroic deals about 22k damage per second, which isn’t too big a deal. 10 stacks would be 55k DTPS, which is significantly more dangerous if a Crushing Reverberation is going off

  • Overall, this is a fairly straightforward fight. Don’t mix debuffs, don’t touch someone of the wrong debuff, and try to avoid any mechanic dealing damage of the opposite debuff than you have.
